Private support is essential to maintain access to quality, affordable public education for citizens throughout the region. Each year, the foundation (a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization that is fiscally and legally separate from the college), provides income that supplements state appropriations, which are currently less than 50% of the college's total budget.
